Universal Availability Notice - Zionsville Community Schools 403(b) Plan

To start or change a contribution to your 403b:

  • login to Records (HR Forms) 
  • click "Available Forms" to the left
  • click "ZCS Classified Retirement Contribution Form" box
  • complete the form
  • click "Save Final"
  • complete electronic Signature and click "Submit"

 


 

Certified Staff

A mandatory 2.5% salary diversion is held at Principal Financial in a 403b (Account# 451080). Additionally, Zionsville contributes .5% to a 401a (Account# 516231) housed at Principal. Certified employees are 50% vested after 5 years an additional 10% each year thereafter until 100% vested after 10 years.

To make additional contributions to your 403b:

  • click on the Forms tab in the upper left

  • click on "New Form"

  • click on "Start Form" to the right of ZCS Voluntary Annuity Request Form

  • complete the form

  • click the "Submit Form" button



Post-Retirement HRA

ZCS will contribute .75% of certified employee’s contracted amount each pay into a Post-Retirement HRA account to be used for eligible medical expenses after retirement. This account is housed with U.S. BENCOR/MidAmerica. To access your account online for the first time, please call the Participant Services Department at (855) 329-0095 and they will provide a unique username that they created for you. Access your account online by visiting https://www.mymidamerica.com/

You can go to 'Access Account' then 'MidAmerica Journey Login' at the bottom of the dropdown, or access the MidAmerica Journey link directly here: https://www.mymidamericajourney.com/

Username: CONTACT THE PARTICIPANT SERVICES DEPARTMENT AT (855) 329-0095 TO OBTAIN THIS INFORMATION.

If you have not access your account in 180 days, you may need to contact the Participant Services Department at 855-329-0095 to reinstate your access.

Classified Staff

There is no mandatory employee contribution for classified employees. Zionsville Community Schools will match any contribution up to 3% on the employee’s behalf. Employees are always 100% vested in their contributions; however, the employer monies are subject to a 5 year vesting schedule, gaining 20% each year. These funds are held with Principal Financial Group. Each employee who chooses to make a contribution will be initially enrolled in a target date fund investment portfolio. Each employee has the ability to select how this money is invested by logging in to Principal.com. Logging in is necessary to provide beneficiary information. Employees can elect to make a contribution or a change to their contribution at any time by completing the ZCS Classified Retirement Contribution form on the employee portal.

November 29, 2019 Assets Class and Fee Structure Change
