About Transportation

The Zionsville Community Schools Department of Transportation is dedicated to supporting students, families, and staff by providing safe, reliable, and welcoming transportation every day. With a fleet of more than 80 school buses and a team of more than 100 transportation professionals, the department serves nearly 8,000 students daily.

Transportation Services operates 61 elementary, 55 middle school, and 17 high school routes each morning and afternoon, and completes more than 1,800 educational and athletic field trips annually. The department is proud to maintain a multi-year perfect record in Indiana State Police bus inspections.

Student health, safety, and comfort remain our highest priorities as we strive for excellence in all aspects of school transportation.
