This video will walk you through the basics of running a Zoom meeting.

write this it is going to show you some of the basics of actually running a zoom meeting once you have scheduled it you're going to go to your meetings Tab and then you can click on the start button then you are click on open Zoom meetings and it may open on the side like this or full-screen depending on how you have it I'm going to click a joint with computer audio and then I went to enlarge my screen up here but I am going to ask turn off my own video so you don't have to watch me the whole time all right so you can see we have some guests with us today these are my daughters that are helping out as I show you some of the features the first thing I wanted to draw attention to though is it scroll down to the bottom of the screen you can see the microphone button this is where you can meet yourself or you can also have control over which microphone that Zoom will be using I actually have a microphone plugged in I want to make sure that one's checked so that it will use that microphone then next to the microphone I have my video camera I can turn that on by clicking it again I also have the ability to choose camera I'm using if I happen to have another one plugged in or just something fun really quick I have the option to choose a virtual background I'll show you that really quickly and I change my background I choose virtual background over here on the left and then I can click on my plus sign and add an image for my computer so you can see what that looks like I can add my galaxy background there you can see it's sort of like a green screen so it's even kind of spotty but it is kind of fun if you want to try that I'm going to actually turn that off so it isn't too. I think for us over to the video going to go back to none and then I just close this box and I'm going to go back to my video is still off it looks like all right so now the next thing we can do look at what Gathering of you is and that actually is up here in the top right corner I'm going to have my helpers today turn their video cameras on and so I can see everybody then I can also control each user from you're so I can unmute them if I pick an up in the top corner with Annabelle I could unmute her and she can say hi I can also click on these three dots and I can actually stop for video from showing if I Spotlight her video that mean the other videos won't be shown in flashings If you experience for the videos flash back and forth be click Spotlight it'll only be on the person that you've chosen for that and I can always take that back as a user and so now I'm going to take this back to speaker and I'm going to have everybody hide their cameras again so now I can also go over to manage participants over on the side of my screen once I click on it and here I have some more controls if I have her over please name I can unmute them from here by click more I can make them a host or co-host if you have another teacher in the class with you making them a co-host is a great idea because it allows them to control the meeting as well you can also remove somebody from the meeting then down below you have some options to mute everybody all at once or unmute them all at once and if I click on the more button I can also make sure different things are checked and what permissions I have participants on Entry allow participants to unmute themselves and allow participants to rename themselves if I went to the lock meeting means once it started I don't allow anybody else to enter alright so if I want my minutes to go away I can actually close it or I can pop out this is a great feature that if you are having people talk of the screen but you still want to be able to manage them a little more easily you can have it over here or if you are sharing your screen we'll go over later you can have Papas out so you can see if anybody raises their hands and then if I wanted to go away I can just close it and I can always open it back up again as I need it there's also a chat feature on here so I'm skip over share screen for right now that'll be a separate video if I go to the chat feature everybody can be typing in here as we go along and as a teacher you can actually go to the top and again you can pop this out so this is again nice if you are sharing your screen you can pop that out and what that'll do is allow you to see the chat while you are still presenting weather that Beyond the Whiteboard or on PowerPoint or whatever you have sharing then down here on the chat if I click on these three dots I am able to change participant permissions I can say they can either chat with no-one or they can chat with the host only or they can chat with everyone public so I can choose how I want to allow them to be able to chat with each other and then I can merge two meeting window again if I wanted to show it up on the side and then here if I'm back to the bottom my record button again if I want to record the video I can do that and I can also do reactions down here I can ask for a thumbs-up and that will fit for about 5 Seconds the financing on a show you is how to end the meeting you can go over here click and meeting I would always recommend staying and meeting for all that way it removes all participants from the meeting rather than leaving them behind when a teacher is not present if you just leave the meeting everybody stays in
