Special Education

At Zionsville Community Schools, we believe every student deserves to learn, grow, and thrive in an environment where they feel supported and valued. Our Unified Student Services team partners with families, staff, and community members to provide high-quality special education services for students from preschool through age 22.

In alignment with the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) and Indiana’s Article 7, we work to ensure that each student receives instruction and services in the setting that best meets their unique strengths and needs.

Our office coordinates evaluations, case conferences, and eligibility processes while also supporting specialized programs, related services, and teacher development across the district. We are committed to equipping both general education and special education staff with the training and resources needed to help all students succeed.

Most importantly, we are dedicated to honoring the individuality of each student, ensuring access to meaningful learning opportunities, and fostering a sense of belonging in every classroom and school community.
